PCN NDT Courses
Our NDT courses offer BINDT (British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing) approved training and examination aligned with the PCN (Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing) scheme designed to meet ISO 9712 (Non-Destructive Testing, Qualification and Certification of NDT Personnel) requirements.

How much does the NDT PCN Recertifications & Re-sits exam cost?
The recertifications & re-sits fee for each exam as follows:
Dye Penetrant Inspection DPI / Magnetic Particle Inspection MPI / Radiography Interpretation RI
Recertification – $715
Re-sit (Practical) – $715
Re-sit (Theory) – $660
Ultrasonic Testing Thickness UTT / Ultrasonic Testing Welds UTW

Can I refresh my knowledge before the exam/s?
QMTS offers a Practical Training session which takes place prior to your conducted one day before the scheduled examinations. Fees may vary depending on the course, training method, or sector selected. Both the practical training and exam will take place on site at QMTS Industry Training.

When is the enrolment cut-off?
Please ensure all enrolment documents are submitted and payment is completed at least 10 days before the course commencement date. Kindly complete and return all required documents listed in the enrolment pack via email before the deadline to

Confirmation of your placement in the course or examination will only be issued once all required documentation and payment have been successfully received. Please note that if your preferred course becomes fully booked before payment is received, you will be required to register for the next available course and/or examination intake.
What if i'm not successful in the initial exam?
If you are unsuccessful in part or all of your initial exams, you may re-sit the failed parts at another time in accordance with the following:
- You will have 12 months from the date of your initial exam to re-sit the failed part/s, after this time you must repeat the entire examination.
- The re-sit exam may not be taken within 30 days of your previous exam, unless additional approved training is undertaken before the re-sit.
- Applicable to CSWIP examinations only – If you are unsuccessful in the re-sit exam, you will be required to take the approved course in full again, followed by the full exam (if taken within 6 months of the initial course, you will receive a 50% discount on the course only).
QMTS offers a Practical Training session in order to refresh your knowledge prior to your exam re-sit. These sessions are conducted one day before the scheduled examinations. Please refer to the Training Calendar for further details and session dates.

How do I find out my exam results?
The CSWIP/NDT result notifications will be sent to the email address provided during enrolment.
For CSWIP examinations, candidates may also access their provisional results through the TWI Training website by providing the following details:
- Customer Number
- Examination Date
- Date of Birth
Your Customer Number will be provided by QMTS Industry Training via email upon completion of your examination.
I have another Welding Inspector certification, can I convert it to CSWIP?
QMTS offers bridging courses to convert your current Welding Inspector qualifications to the equivalent CSWIP qualifications by undertaking the corresponding courses and exams listed. You will also be eligible to receive 50% discount off the full course fee when you enrol to complete the bridging course and exam.*

Your Record of Vision Test can be taken to Specsavers or an Optometrist who can complete the test.
